How to Plan the Perfect Bachelorette Party: Miami

Since bachelorette season is offically under way, I wanted to highlight one of my favorite destinations in the US.. MIAMI!  I have a friend that is heading there in four weeks and besides for the plane ticket she has nothing planned.  Have no fear I am here to help you, Tiffany!

HOTEL: If you are heading to Miami it is a no brainer, stay on South Beach.  This will eliminate traffic and cabs when you want to hit the town.  Here are four hotel suggestions that will be more than happy to accommodate a bachelorette party:

The Perry South Beach Hotel (formally the Gansevoort)
2377 Collins Avenue Miami Beach, FL 33139 | Reservations (866) 932-6694

 Eden Roc Renaissance Miami Beach
4525 Collins Avenue Miami Beach, FL 33140  | Reservations  1-305-531-0000

Fontainbleau Miami Beach
441 Collins Avenue Miami Beach, FL | Reservations (800) 548-8886

W South Beach
2201 Collins Avenue Miami Beach, FL 33139 | Reservations (305) 938-3000

DAYTIME FUN: Obviously when you head to Miami during the day you are going to want to enjoy the sunshine.  The plus about staying at one of the above hotels is you are able to utilize some of the best pools in the city.  At the Perry South Beach, they have a Vegas style pool party every weekend on the rooftop pool.  If you are not staying at the hotel you can still reserve cabanas or daybeds.  This is a great idea if all the girls want to splurge and surprise the bride.  Another great option is Nikki Beach.  It is a fun daytime (and nighttime) bar that is outside and provides all the sun you need.  They don't have a pool but they do have direct access to the ocean. You can rent chairs or day beds and soak in the sun with some yummy cocktails (or bottle service if you prefer).  If you want to save some mulla for the evenings rent chairs for about $10.00 on the beach.. I would suggest finding a spot to rent near 8th and Ocean (who remembers that tv show?).

DINNER: Okay, so I am a foodie if you didn't know and I love gorging myself, especially in Miami.  However, I usually do that on a family vacation or date night with David.  My idea of a bachelorette party dinner takes place before you are dressed in your evening attire.  My cardinal rule is always order in one night so everyone can get nice and liquored up (sorry mom if you are reading this but it's true)!  Another option is the happy hour specials on Lincoln Road.  From about 3-7pm most restaurants on Lincoln Road offer half priced specials.  There are so many great options, my advice is walk over from the beach and scan the menus and just pick a restaurant.  I know its not super glamorous, but it is cost effective and then everyone can go back to the hotel and rest and get ready for the evening.

If you want to plan a big meal out my next piece of advice is look at the restaurants either in your hotel, or near where you are going out.  For example if you are staying at the Perry, eat your big meal at STK.  You can then head back to the room to freshen up before you head out.  Cabs can get tight in Miami and if you are wearing heals you don't want to run the risk of having to walk to your next destination.

So my last restaurant rec is Scarpetta.  It is at the Fountainbleau and is surprisingly pretty affordable.  Everyone can share a bunch of things and it is so yummy (make sure to get the spaghtetti and the polenta).  To understand why I think this is the best idea please see the NIGHTLIFE section below.

NIGHTLIFE: If you want to show your bride a true last fling before the ring, than there is just one answer for that. LIV.  If you have never heard of it, look it up.  It is probably the best club in the US.  They hand out party favors all the time and the music, lights, and people watching cannot really be matched.  The problem is it is extremely hard to get into.  So, if you eat at Scarpetta and head over around eleven at the latest, you may be able to get in the front of the line.  Be prepared to wait and expect a line that you cannot see the front of.  The thing with Miami is everyone has the schmooze factor and feel they are entitled to be let in before you.  If the group is willing to throw down I would suggest purchasing a table beforehand.  In the middle of the summer last year we were able to get a table for $1,000 for two bottles of Grey Goose.  I know its expensive and not necessary, but again if the group is willing to do it it could be a great night:)  There are a bunch of other clubs that won't be as difficult to get into like Set and Mansion, but I would try to make it a point to head to Liv one night.  Just remember get there early and be patient.

At Liv for Emily's Bachelorette party!

I hope this is super helpful, but if you have any questions or want anymore recommendations please don't hesitate to ask.  I love and know Miami, but if I don't know the answer my sister will.

  1. Hii i'm helping plan my friends bachlorette party in Miami the first weekend of March! This was very helpful! We didn't book a hotel until just a couple days ago so we ended up booking a nice suite by the airport. What do you recommend to do around there and what do you recommend in terms of us going back and forth from that area to South Beach? Thanks!

    1. I am not really sure what is near the airport, but the Miami airport is not far from south beach maybe like 25 tops. So I would just take cabs a few times maybe even splurge on a limo one night? Let me know if you have any other questions!

  2. My girls and I are also going to be there next weekend for a bachelorette party! We'll probably see you there - anonymous! I heard Mango's is a fun place for male dancers, and Nikki Beach Restaurant and Lounge is a must-do from what I've read online, so SUNDAY brunch it is. Any other feedback for activities during the day? We're thinking of hitting the beach/pools, and maybe doing something touristy too - water activities/sightseeing. If we're ordering in, do you recommend a particular restaurant? Also, any kitty parties and limo companies you recommend? Appreciate your help! Thanks!

  20. I would have to agree that Miami is a destination like no other and it houses different spots that would be perfect as a bachelorette party venue. I was invited to a friend’s bachelorette party at Charlie’s Bistro and Bar (http://www.charliesbistroandbar.com) and the experience was worth the smile and memory. Kudos to a great guide provided here. For someone who plans be in Miami for this purpose should visit this post.

    Hey guys!

We had my best friends' bachelorette party in Miami, it was amazing and perfect weather. A really fun option is to do a painting and wine party with Bottle & Bottega Miami (url: www.bottleandbottega.com/miami). It was the perfect start to the evening and they'll come to you and take care of everything. The staff there is really friendly and helpful when trying to book events. They're also getting a studio soon and will have nude model options too, I def. want to plan another party with them when that starts!! Other fun things we did: cocktails at The Broken Shaker (really cool outside garden bar), dinner at The Dutch at the W, and LIV nightclub as someone mentioned (pricey but worth it). Hope this is helpful!
